I wonder what

makes people down vote innocent, neutral posts. A while back, I had a person down vote a post about how many calories a sneeze uses. 🤨 He also down voted a post I wrote about why I gave up watching the news. Then today I had someone down vote 2 Fleetwood Mac songs. I had added nothing to them or anything. It was just the songs.🤨

The first down voter was mad because I closed comments and was talking about me with another member in the public areas, so I figured he down voted because he had a smart-aleck remark on the sneeze post along the lines of do you know how many calories sex burns. The one on the news, he was mad about not being able to comment because he was one of those who argue politics. 🤨

However, this new one is more of a mystery. He was called something foodie, so I figure he is a chubby chaser. He was probably drawn to my profile by the post I made, about liking to eat yesterday. But why he down voted 2 songs and then blocked me is beyond me. I guess he wanted me to know he had blocked me. If he hadn't down voted the 2 posts, I would have never known he existed. It might be another one that just hates the fact that I block comments on my posts. *Shrugs*

However, here is the thing. Not everyone on here is entitled to your opinion. No one here knows me, really knows me, and many well-meaning people have made completely wrong assumptions in their opinions about me. I journal here, mostly for my mental health, and I don't need any non-professionals giving me unsolicited advice, which may cause more harm than good. I understand blocking someone like me, but down voting innocent posts, well, I guess some people just need to go touch grass. (get a life). 👍

I have a sneaking suspicion, though, that on a site that allows everyone to have as many profiles as they want, that both these down voters are the same person and this is their modus operand. Ha ha ha ha...😅

Another possibility is that this user thought I was someone else( again due to being able to have more than 1 profile, which I don't have) and somehow they thought I posted those songs for them. Just so everyone knows, unless I add personal writing to a post, the songs I post are just songs. They are not for anyone, personally.🤨

This was a momentary irritation to me, but I suspect my actions of blocking comments are a long-term irritation to this person(or these people).🙄

I hope this person,or these people, find a way to embrace a little more joy in life. Getting too wrapped up in online stuff will hurt your health and rob you of your peace, if you let it. 🤗

However, if striking out at me gave you some sort of kick, if it made you feel a special little tingle, if it made your life better in some way, then go for it. I can take it. If it helps you, it helps me.❤❤ ❤
