Logic or emotional reasoning yes. They act like it's BS. I know the feeling. It's the best example of "talking to a brick wall".

I grew up with that kind of environment and it sank so deep into my psyche that in my adult life I can't even argue with people. My mind just freezes up and it "looks" like I'm wrong because I have nothing to say. But it's really that I just have zero faith that anyone will understand, or if they do, they'll deflect.

It sounds like a really manipulative dynamic and I’ve experienced something similar before. Sometimes the healthiest thing is to distance yourself from people who consistently gaslight or undermine you. Unfortunately, those patterns rarely change.
