Practical view....

Drag queens and story times for children isn't necessary.

That's the bottom line.
You don't have to agree, many others don't understand it either.
It doesn't mean it's hateful. Phobic or whatever else you want to label people who don't agree. Its healthy to question anything that goes against the grain, is it not?

Also, if so many are questioning it, then evidently it's going to be very difficult for society as a whole to be able to accept it as the norm.

Life is confusing enough in this crazy world for little humans to live in.
They don't need more confusion added to the mix.

Anyone here downplaying people's experiences of childhood abuse or refusing to see the possible dangers this kind of thing can and does bring to children, are no better than those who commit the crimes.

@Lanie78 🤦‍♀️

@Gloomy what? Generally teachers do not dress up as the opposite sex to teach. The issue is drag queens reading to children which isn't necessary. Your responses get more idiotic the more you go on. Rather that justify your answers you resort to calling my views stupid. Tells me all I need to know 👍

@Lanie78
the possible dangers this kind of thing can and does bring to children
No Drag Queen events don't pose a threat to children. You are just stuck in societal norms
Also most cultural consumption isn't necessary...

@Gloomy Explain the odd stories (granted not common) where children have been put in danger due to drag queens posing as queens but they're actually Sexual predators? It's happened/happens. Yes sexual predators are everywhere but children could still be in danger if drag queens haven't been vetted properly etc.
Gloomy · F
@Lanie78 And you can make the same argument for any person working with or performing for kids.
Teachers, camp counsellors, youth theater, ....
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Lanie78 this is what happens when you allow teachers to dress as the opposite sex and teach
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Gloomy tell that to the parents of the children who were exposed to convicted sex offenders due to a drag queen event
Gloomy · F
@Torsten like I said based on this logic let's prevent kids from going to camps. We should be able to protect kids without framing a group of people as pedophiles
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Gloomy any camp that exposed children to convicted sex offenders, damn straight we should.
I have noticed you always seem to just shift past it. Thats messed up
Gloomy · F
@Torsten Shift past what you moron?
You keep calling drag queens pedophiles and make arguments to stop these shows that can be applied to all kind of events.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Gloomy never once called drag queens in general to be pedophiles. You clearly have issue reading.
You constantly shift past certain drag queen programs exposing children to sex offenders. Never once seen you condemn it instead of bring up excuses such as "well lets ban camps and teachers" and so on also.
You're blind and biased clearly
Lanie78 · 41-45, F
@Torsten oh lord, think I might have nightmares now, thanks for that 😬😅
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Lanie78 haha yeah now imagine how the students felt who had to be around that
Lanie78 · 41-45, F
@Gloomy Some drag queens have been convicted for Sexual offenses against children. You cannot deny that.
Lanie78 · 41-45, F
@Gloomy of course, however most teachers are checked thoroughly before being allowed to work with children. Are all the drag queens who come in to tell stories?
Lanie78 · 41-45, F
@Torsten Terrified I imagine. I've said before some drag queens can actually look amazing as women. Others just shouldn't even bother, as they look freakish. Harsh but true
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Lanie78 not harsh at all. the drag queens who actually put in the effort to look feminine and female, some do pull it off.. but on the other side, you get this
