Practical view....

Drag queens and story times for children isn't necessary.

That's the bottom line.
You don't have to agree, many others don't understand it either.
It doesn't mean it's hateful. Phobic or whatever else you want to label people who don't agree. Its healthy to question anything that goes against the grain, is it not?

Also, if so many are questioning it, then evidently it's going to be very difficult for society as a whole to be able to accept it as the norm.

Life is confusing enough in this crazy world for little humans to live in.
They don't need more confusion added to the mix.

Why can't the same people read stories not in drag? Isn't it supposed to be about the kids not the readers? But it's not about the kids it's about publicity for drag queens .Using children as pawns to push an agenda.
@kodiac Kids see all kinds of stuff. We have to trust them.

@Spoiledbrat Trust who ? My issue would be trying to explain to a pre school or kindergarten kid why jimmies dad looks like a woman . I'm not worried that they would groom or have any bad intentions. If I'm going to worry about that I'd be more likely to suspect a coach teacher or clergy.
@kodiac You have to trust your kids. Most people are straight, a few are bi and very few are trans. I've never worried about it. Kids have lots of roll models. There are lots of people in this world and lots of parents to look up to. If my kid had ever told me he was lgbt, I would have trusted him.
