I Hate Perverts

Today, some guy had been hearting a lot of my posts and even left a nice comment on one of my posts about my molestation. Then he messaged me saying hello and for the first time in a long time, I responded to a PM I got from a man and thanked him for hearting my posts. He starts chatting me up about some of my nature posts and just when we have a pleasant conversation going, he starts asking me about the details of my molestation. I was not surprised in the least bit and told him that this is why I don't respond to PMs from men anymore. He started acting like he didn't understand what I mean, that he just wanted to "figure out what happened." I told him, I'll bet he does and then he changes the subject; starts asking me about my age and hobbies and crap. I should've ended it right there but I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt and humored him until he started asking me what I look like. I asked why he wants to know and he blocks me. He knew he blew his cover, not that he had much to begin with. Serves me right for taking a risk with answering a PM from a guy here.

It’s so sad that anyone would use the nightmares of someone’s life to get off of. What a scary awful thought that those people exist often in our communities. I’m so sorry you had to deal with an insensitive jerk. People who have faced abuse know describing details about the events are unnecessary in understanding them as far as respect and empathy. 💕

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit Exactly! I can talk about the details of my molestation without any issue but not if the person I'm opening up to is just using it to get off.
