Mr. Blinken met Mr. Lavrov for around 10 minutes and told him that the west would support Ukraine "for as long as it takes". At the time senior state personnel said that Mr. Blinken also urged Russia to rejoin the New Start nuclear arms control treaty, from which it recently withdrew, and to abide by its terms. Meanwhile, Russian officials state that no negotiation has taken place.
Before that Russian diplomats also accused the west of burying the deal of some Ukrainian grain export. On that matter, the US said Russia was hampering Ukrainian exports.
The Indian prime minister Narendra Modi said many developing countries are being affected by global warming caused by richer countries. And they are also victims of that issue.
