Watch YouTube or a movie, listen to podcasts, play with my dogs, take a bath, clean up, organize, play a video game, call or text family or friends. Plan a day out or a vacation (even if you don’t actually go on it). Read a book, post on SW, do a manicure or pedicure, cut my hair or change the color, do a long skincare routine, go for a walk, go out for coffee or lunch alone. Go see a movie or look around the mall. Find new things to add to my aquarium. Give my birds treats and find some music for them to enjoy. Plan a garden (even if I don’t go through with it)
Work on latch hook or draw or paint. Plan an upcoming birthday gift or outing
Journal, write a short story (get SW involved if you like that)
And the list can go on and on and on. I don’t think I’ll ever run out of things I’m interested in unless I feel bad. When I feel “bored” it’s usually anxiety. The feeling of needing to do something and nothing relieves that feeling.
