It seems like you still haven’t gotten a good read on this new coworker. It’s best to be calm and neutral with her until you know her better. I wouldn’t try to make friends out of coworkers in the first place though.

In my opinion you heard her incorrectly. I'd just say casually that while you were on the phone she said something annoyed her and you'd like to know what it was so you could help her with it. Simple!

If she isn't treating you differently I would just move on and assume she meant something or someone else.

I would recommend to bluntly tell them that you tend to take some time to process things and you need some clarification. Then you’ll know and your mind won’t have to make crap up anymore

And i think maybe its miscommunication that’s why you are confused what she meant by “annoying” can you elaborate how she delivered that word?

May i know how you get to talk on the phone? Are you at home already or at work?
