It can be fun... one thing that is funny, a lot of what is going on in the world can be mirrored in any country, yet each country loves to blame their leader. No matter what is going on, Americans will only see their country going through what is going on worldwide.

@SW-User yah we are a bit self centered. "OMG I can't believe I had to wait in line an extra 5 minutes for my latte! This is fascism at its worse." yah that sort of mindset is fairly common here.

@JestAJester Happens here too. Many Canadians won't say it, while they will say they love Canada, don't like the lifestyle of America, often it's mirrored. Surely there is differences but sometimes I wonder how pronounced they are? Canada has to be the country most influenced by America.

@SW-User since you're in canada, tell me what happened there? Was there seriously a curfew?

SW-User
@JestAJester Covid, lockdowns? Quebec, there was. The only province. France put in one too. That's geopolitics.

@SW-User I remember hearing at one point they were signaling the US at the border for help. Know anything about this? The only thing that happened here in my state is you were required to wear masks but you could still go out even though they told you to stay at home. Almost nobody stayed at home. I never caught it once and we had a lot more customers than usual

SW-User
@JestAJester No, not at all. I expect that's myth. There was a time though that Trump talked about putting military to not let Canadians in? Which is very funny, as that time there was many more cases in the US, and Canadians all paranoid were thinking, why would we want to go there?
JestAJester · 31-35, M
@SW-User haha that made me laugh. Got a buddy up there, I forget which province. Doesn't sound near as bad up there as it does down here. They've basically dropped the covid thing like its not dangerous anymore. They shutup pretty quick about it

SW-User
@JestAJester It's mostly being treated that way here now, and it's somewhat refreshing in a way? But if you look at the death rate from, cases, and I do expect we tested more was never quite yours. I think mostly, it's past, and one thing Canada did by trying to shut out some was not exposing our population to illness enough. But let's not talk about herd immunity and those things.
JestAJester · 31-35, M
@SW-User CDC actually came out with the truth. The death rate was extremely overrated. They admitted that those who actually died of their underlying illness like heart conditions, cancer, etc happen to have covid at the time which only complicates the underlying illness and they wrote it down as the cause of death. Well no shit, if someone with TB catches the cold right before they die, they don't write down the cause of death the common cold. Atleast I hope they dont. Any illness on top of another illness is going to complicate it and make it worse

SW-User
@JestAJester Maybe. I don't know. I only think politicians made a nightmare of this situation. Yes, we were dealing with a new illness, previous governments I think would have let public health speak, but the twitterverse demanded politicians spoke. And the rest is history.
JestAJester · 31-35, M
@SW-User ugh twitter. for the love of god delete it

SW-User
@JestAJester I don't have it... I was using it as a symbol in how people need an immediate response.

SW-User
@JestAJester How's the meaningless conversation going? I honestly don't mind.
JestAJester · 31-35, M
@SW-User it ended a little while ago. He told me to suck a dick haha
