I’m sure you’ll get a lot of self soothing technique recommendations like breathing slowly or counting or removing yourself from the situation to go take a break. Those are all good things. Humor is a pretty good one also. Sometimes it just comes down to communicating to the other person that you’re not in the best of moods and that you need to put a pin in whatever topic you’re finding irritating. Generally speaking though, one of the best ways to get on top of irritability is consistent, routine sleep and monitoring what you’re eating, healthy/regularly. Sounds cliché, but both those things make a huge difference for mood and resilience to life‘s many stressors that peck at you.

@WhateverWorks I totally agree with all the above. Many times our buttons are too easily pushed and we must take a proactive approach to being less sensitive.
