Do you think it's mean that my class mates are having a big party and didn't invite me?

Everyone else went, except one because he couldn't come. I only knew because my teacher told me and asked why I wasn't going.

Dad said it's not mean, that they didn't owe me an invite and it was a time for me to reflect on why they didn't invite me and fix it for next time.

Yes, it is mean.

Your father's words are cold and unfeeling.

@Fluffybull I feel a little cold and unfeeling right now, Fluffy.
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic That's your mind trying to protect your heart from being hurt 😥
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull But that's good because I don't want my heart to hurt anymore.
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic Yes, sometimes we need to grow a few protective layers round our hearts. 👍
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull That doesn't feel good, Fluffy. I would like to love and be loved like I did when I was little.
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic You'll meet people who will love and respect you. Then you can remove a few protective layers. Crabbie said that when we first met I wasn't very fluffy and that he made me fluffy. And I said I was always fluffy, I just had to know him a bit before the fluffiness came out. 😊👍
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull You are fluffy to me. 😊
Crabbie must be good if he made you fluffy. I'm glad he did. I want to be like that someday.
I'm just scared people will see me as a problem not a person and that I will make my brother hate me. My parents do, but I never want him to.
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic Your brother will never hate you. I don't think your parents hate you but they don't seem to understand you. Also they don't seem to deal very well with each other at times.
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull Maybe, Fluffy. When I have nightmares, they never help, but Pieter does. It doesn't help quickly, but eventually, he hugs me and I fall asleep again. Would like a hug or affection from my parents.
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull Even my procedure, they would make me go alone if not for Pieter because I might be difficult, and Pieter has to prove he's old enough to deal with me sometimes because a lot of people think he is a child.
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic Sadly, parents sometimes lack the emotional ability to hug their children. 😥 You'll meet people as you go through life who may become "surrogate parents". I used to know someone who could always go to her best friend's mother for advice and help because her own mother wasn't any help. Also someone who was "adopted" by his girlfriend's family who all adored him! 👏👏❤️
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull But they did when I was little, Fluffy.

I will find people like that as well. Maybe.
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic That's sad that they stopped hugging you. No-one is too old for a hug. 😥
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull Yes, it makes me sad.
I'm not that old. 🙈
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic No. Most parents want to hug their kids whether they are 5, 15 or 55.
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull Just not
mine. 🙈 My brother said that means we will probably be very affectionate because we have to use up all of our affection we never got fo use on our parents.
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic Your brother's very wise. 👍
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
I will use mine on puppies and Pieter!!@Fluffybull
