Yes. My elderly dad in the Midlands has been in and out of hospital with type 2 diabetes complications and as a result my mum's mental health has suffered and my brother has had to shoulder the burden despite having a family of his own to look after. I've not been able to to do anything to help other than send money and helpful things through the post.
I fully understand the need for a lockdown and know it has saved lives but it's been awful having my family go through so much and not be able to do anything to help.

Haven’t seen my elderly Father in hospital because of strict procedures regarding outsiders visiting in nearly 15 months.

Haven’t seen my adult children in the same period because covid has been rife in the areas in which they live.

You can cope with short term restrictions on your ability to travel. But the longer this stuff continues the more it feels like social engineering.
@Picklebobble2 My heart goes out to you bud. One of my best friends is in the hospital so I can relate to your own situation.
I couldn't see my best friend and his family ans my cousins and their families for over a year. At least my best friend was able to visit me briefly recently. It was an indescribable feeling of happiness to finally be able to take him in my arms again after such a long time. I hope the regulations will allow us all to meet again soon.

Lucky for me - hardly at all.

YES !! Tired of this. I have great tolerance and have internal freedom but there's no denying that this thing sucks and because I have had it, I know it is safe to stay inside. Don't know what would be the right thing to do

@MasterofNone Well said! It has ground my pre-Covid Social life to a standstill. I am 27, single, and searching for Mr. Nice Guy.

I am fully vaccinated but still wary.

Yes, my folks have been weathering this whole thing at their EU property, so I missed a year. It sucks.

People can only come in, no one can leave.

It prevented me from visiting my mother as often as I would’ve liked, especially when she became ill.

@bijouxbroussard Sorry to hear. My partner's Mum is in the UK (we are in Australia) and she is terminally ill. My partner was able to leave Aus as he is not a citizen to be with her, but I couldn't. It's been tough.
@maybesomeday I’m so sorry. 😞
