They did a great job. They were able to lift all limitations because COVID is gone there. People can sit next to each other, hug, all businesses can run again as before, no plastic screens everywhere.

@NerdyPotato We had to reimpose those restrictions due to community transmission reoccurring. But today's the second day in a row with no community transmission at all, so things are looking a little more promising.

@SW-User aww, I only heard about it being lifted today. How long were you without? I'm glad swift action was taken though and that you didn't hold on to your freedom until it got way out of hand again.

@SW-User Not all of the restrictions. Outside Auckland you can do most of what you want to except you have to though you do have to wear a mask on public transport

They must have adults in charge.

@Crazywaterspring Apparently we do. They take advice from the Director-General of Health and the Ministry of Health's medical experts and everything.

That's good - overall,NZ has fared pretty well over the months.Across the Tasman, here in New South Wales we're not doing too badly;our tracking-and-tracing system works fairly efficiently.

@craig7 Ours is pretty good too. Luckily you're in NSW and not Vic though, so not as badly affected. Having no land borders certainly helps keep things safe.
Jacinda Adern has done a great job with Covid, with handling the racist massacre, and with handling everything that's come her way.
To me she's the finest example of what a leader should be.
