This is why the government has decided that the Netherlands will go into lockdown from Sunday 19 December until at least Friday 14 January 2022.

This is a very smart move.
The United States has not enacted any "lockdowns" and I shutter to think about the inevitable increase in cases after the holiday (gathering) season.

Please be safe!! It looks like your government is taking necessary steps. It may be that Omicron is both more contagious and less deadly. We will see--and hope! Christmas break in the US looms as extremely dangerous--millions flying and moving around. People gathering. Hope people take safety measures.
