As long as he got the core temperature high enough when he cooked it, you should be fine. Might taste a little bit off but nothing you should really worry about
He shouldn't be so reactive and having his pride hurt, but we all have our weaknesses. Please make choices for yourself as you feel proper. Also, trust your body. From what I have heard, pregnant women senses are heightened like 5 x ..10 x.. so you can smell the food and taste the food. I think pregnant women can really understand if something is good or not to be eaten. Also if you have a pet, usually they know too and won't eat anything that's gone bad - not all of them, but most of them are good at smelling it. If I were you I would take it easy, try a bit, say I don't feel good with it and move on, find something else to eat for the day and it's gone.
For myself I wouldn't be worried at all - but anyone who works with food in a professional capacity (as I did) would not let a pregnant woman eat any poultry after that length of time. Because he's so vague about what he actually does in the restaurant would set all my alarm bells ringing.
The rule of thumb in the US (health department) is that raw chicken in the fridge is safe for up to 48 hours, but they recommend cooking it by 24-36 hours. Pregnant or not, it's not safe.
