I never really liked photos of myself. I would compare myself to these beautiful women on TV or on my favorite magazine's. So I would put on makeup to make me feel a little better about myself. A little more accepted in society.
It's weird how I can change my makeupless self trough a program.
(Makeupless real me)
(Photoshoped me)
I know that these women on TV and those magazine's are pretty but they've got imperfections too. It's sad that they have to hide them because of society.
I've been doing this since when I took my first photos of myself when I was 14. I hardly ever do it now though. Only when I'm really bored. :D Today I can say that it helped me to understand how the use of makeup and post-production give us a completely false image of real people.
Every picture you see in magazines, newspapers and the media have been manipulated or touched up in some way. You are comparing yourself to artificial women. You are a natural beauty without makeup. Make sure you thank your parents for their genes:)
Whatever.. you look decent. And don't give a damn about women/girls on TV. It's like brainwashing. You brainwash the society so they think they're never good enough and try everything to look better. Bam! There goes the skyrocketing sales of beauty products..
