But details are the best part of remembering. 😟 and sometimes telling.
I think she was just a little older. I had had a secret crush on her for a very long time. I was too shy at the time to show much of any emotions or feelings about something like that with any girl. She never acted interested in me so I kept it secret. Went to the same evening church functions sometimes. One evening, i left the group and went and sat in the dark in a pew of the church. Her and another girlfriend of hers appeared out of nowhere. She came over to me and abruptly sat on my lap. She immediately held my face with both her hands and gave me a fairly long deep passionate kiss while her girlfriend watched from the pew behind us. As quick as she/they appeared, they were gone again. I remember the kiss feeling long like time stood still. So many decades later, too many to really mention, I still remember it like it happened yesterday. I still haven't made sense of it. It was never spoke of, discussed, questioned or repeated. It went back to seeming as though it never happened. Never received any more attention from her not even so much as a conversation.
What she didn't know at the time was, her kiss came at a time when I really needed it. I always have wondered what it would have been like to have had a relationship with her.
