I Have Flirted With Someone I Didnt Even Find Attractive

I did more then flirt. Many years ago a woman I knew as just a friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She confided in me that she had never had a boy friend and would die a virgin. She was 34, and still lived at home with her overly controlling parents. I wasn't the least bit attracted to her as more then just a friend, but I put in the effort for the last 4 months of her life to be there for her in every way a boy friend would be. I caught a lot of grief from friends and family that just didn't understand how I was trying to help out a friend. But I feel like I did the right thing.
