@mellie but smothering them is going about it the wrong way. You have to remember that not every guy is like your ex and so you have to trust them until they give you a reason not to. But if you don’t work on that first, then you probably shouldn’t be dating if you smother and give them ultimatums like that because that’s not healthy for any of you.

No, you shouldn’t. Most importantly because he blocked you. If you try to circumvent his block it’s disrespectful and comes off as desperate.
Additionally, he lives on another continent and you only chatted for five days. It’s a lot of trouble to go to for someone you don’t even know very well. There are plenty more fish in the sea so to speak. Look elsewhere.
