Is the concept of 'sexual (or dating) market value' really a valid way to assess other people (or yourself even)?

How many women sub-consciously rate men (and other women) that way almost without thinking? 8-)

Of course most people are guilty of that. I am too. But in the instances when I get assessed or rated based on my outward appearences, I rebel. I find it unfair and what not. And its exactly that. Its acting out whats has been done to each one of us.
