Date night tonight with the girl from the bar.

Tonight is a big night for me—I’m going on a date for the first time in over ten years. In fact, it’s been about fifteen years since my last first date, so you can imagine the mix of emotions swirling around. Excitement, nerves, butterflies… all of it. I just hope I don’t make a complete fool of myself.

I worked a half-day today, now I’m treating myself to getting my nails done before heading out to shop for an outfit..

We’ve been texting pretty much nonstop since we first met a few weeks ago, and she suggested bowling and watching the game tonight. She’s a huge football fan like myself (which makes us a perfect match already).

I’m really looking forward to this. Here’s to hoping it’s the start of something good.
