Dating as a Cop
Firstly, this is not a ‘woah is me’ post more than it is a genuine and sincere curiosity
As a law enforcement officer I have found it difficult to embark on the dating journey since my engagement broke off (she decided to take a job overseas and I was not ready to make that jump. We remain very good friends however)
I fully acknowledge the stigma that comes with this profession but also don’t want to be lumped into a generalization because of it.
I’m sure, in time, I’ll find someone who is comfortable with it but time will tell and perhaps it feels hopeless due the recency of the split with my fiancé. I would welcome any female (or others) perspectives and thoughts.
