I think nowadays both men and women have unrealistic expectations in dating. But they're shaped by the environment they're subjected to, the Internet.
I'm a lone wolf by your definition. But I didn't start out that way. I'm honestly now too comfortable being alone. And that could present some issues when the time comes where you meet someone who's attracted to you and whom you're attracted to also. Because being alone is a double-edged sword.

@Sapio .You're dancing around how our society became hypersexualized. It begins with "F" and ends with "ism" and heavily involved something known as the "sexual revolution" and the availability of birth control.
Now, thats neither good, nor bad, but it certainly wasn't caused by the expectations of men.
As to how men expect a woman to dress or act, I'm pretty sure the vast majority of men don't care. They may not be attracted to a woman with lots of body hair or who dresses like a slob, but I don't think the vast majority of men would care enough to try and force this hypothetical woman to change, they'll just ignore her and find a woman who they are attracted towards.
Additionally, how a woman dresses or acts is something that the woman can change if they want to do so, a man can't become taller without expensive invasive surgery.
You know who really cares about how women dress and act? Other women.
