This has never happened to me before.

I’ve never had a guy openly compliment and flirt with me. I’ve always had to rely on dating apps to find people to date, so please tell my why the crush (kind of) I had in 7th grade, who I haven’t talked to in 13+ years started talking to me again and saving stuff like “oh f course I remember you, you have an unforgettable smile” and “you seem like you have a great personality” and “I was hoping you would come back to [homestate] so we could hang out.”

I’ve never experienced this before, and I think it’s caused a lot of self esteem issues, even just someone flirting with me in the wild, and now I’m just at a loss
