What does it mean?

When a girl says she hates something and then a guy does the thing she hates, what does that mean? Such as a girl says "I hate the color white" and the guy starts wearing white or " I hate these types of pants" what does it mean if he starts wearing them? Is he trying to make her not interested in him?

You’re hating trivial things, possibly things you’ve already seen him doing or wearing, because you want to be single but you’re trying to make it his fault somehow.
