My dad just indirectly told me to not date until I'm like 30 (he found Mom in like 24th grade). I want to make him happy, was also going to try asking someone out in high school. He also teases me whenever I get a boy's contact, and its SO ANNOYING! This gives me so much mixed vibes from my dad on whether to pursue my romance life.
Doesn't help that my mom focuses mainly on school, and EVERYTHING at school. "School/grades is 1st, everything else's second." - Mom.
So no dating advice from that parent. I'm also somewhat scared to death of her disaproval, so I never asked.
I'm going to want to date soon, and have someone in mind, and I don't know whether my parents will approve of either.
Should I go for the dating life, or stik to my parents wishes?
