Why are women paying for dates and holding doors for men?

This is in continuation to my previous post. So this is the other side of the story- I see this all around me.. My girl friends do it too..I don't know what's wrong with them.. They pay for dates (claiming that they want to be treated equally and get offended even if the guy refuses) smh...
One of my friend drops off her dates back if even if she's taking an Uber.
Personally, I feel that it's not about going to the most luxurious dining place but making a woman comfortable. I wouldn't demand to be taken to a certain place if it was me.. I feel whatever is writing a man's budget should be considered. When a man pays on a date, it's a reassurance to the woman that she will be provided for.

I don't know why women these days want to behave like they are entitled to pay for their dates... I think that one you're in a relationship, the finances are shared so that shouldn't matter so much but at least till that point...I mean.. there are a lot of places where money wouldn't be a concern... And it's not just about money. I see women want to pamper men like they are wearing the pants in the relationship.

Whatever happened to the old times when women were wooed and men took care to make a woman feel secure and safe.

I can't believe what you are saying. That is awful. It's still the man's place to open the door for the woman and pay for dinner ...or however they want to pay the bill....but DRIVE THE GUY HOME TOO !!!!
Are they that desperate to impress the guy or is the guy just so wimpy or think that he deserves that treatment ? Holy cow !
This 'wanting to be treated equally' is way out if hand.

@Midlifemale If the woman can get a free dinner and a ride by the man why is he a weak bad guy for getting the same treatment?

Your gender roles are a bit outdated.

I'm sad you were taught that men can't be cared for. Or show vulnerability.
We welcome it in this society. In this time equality wins.

@Queendragonfly gender roles are still the same...not outdated.
You are I were obviously raised differently and you are giving in to the new norm of today's weird society.

@Queendragonfly if that's how you perceive a date as a 'free dinner ' ? Then you have the wrong concept of a date for sure.

@Midlifemale Equal respect for all people , yeah, such a weird concept 😂

@Queendragonfly Nothing to do with equal respect. Having respect for each other is just understood.

@Midlifemale true... I was just commenting on someone's response that equality is not trying to become a man...but embracing one's right to live as a human...honouring one's feminity and also respecting a man..who is respectful and kind.

@Midlifemale Having respect for eachother means anyone can open the door for anyone 😊
