Updates on online dating...

That first date I had well, he decided to ghost me.
I have a few suspicions, he was rushing me by calling me his gf, he seemed older than he said, he had also lost a lot of weight in the last 5 months, he decided to take the bus from embankment to Woolwich, while I got o the train. He forgot to wear a jacket and was shivvering most the evening, he was also pushing to get physical by date 3.
I think he cancelled our date due to mismatched speeds and I suspect although he was working, perhaps he wasn't doing quite so well.
He did mention not wanting to work in hospitality forever.

A guy I've been talking to for 3 weeks has been rushing to meet, I was happy to go for a drink on Friday but last minute he asked to meet last night, he claimed to see if we get on.
Also there's no telling he will finish work at 9 it could be later due to how busy Friday night gets.
He kept calling and video calling, so I picked up to say last night wasn't good but he tried to use a tactic, as if he couldn't hear me in the hope I'd eventually change my mind and say yes. So I hung up.

I decide to block him.

Another guy I've been speaking to around a similar length, has been really sweet to me.
In his pictures he's been really cagey and on his profile posted images of himself I now know from different periods of time in his life.
Anyways I sent him a selfie in the hope he'd send one back. He does not look at all like his pictures.
I was respectful.
He said that he had long covid and works from home.
Anyways because of this his weight gain is quite excessive.
I've dated bigger in the past but I guess it was quite a shock.
I feel a little umm... Deceived.

I need some time to process all of this...

@Threepio modern guys are strange...
I get that covid messed up a lot of people's career paths, and now the cost of living too but honestly all this lieing it's a waste of damn time. Surely they won't get very far.
@Mellowgirl Yeah, for the life of me, I do not understand why either sex just does not just tell the truth from the beginning.

Like, they assume (are hoping) that you are not going to figure out what the truth actually is at some point (and then be disappointed or feel deceived because you caught them in an obvious lie) ...... IMO, if Covid has messed up your dream life (job, circumstances), then just throw it out there...... but don't blame all your woes on Covid (IE weight gain).

BTW: Long Covid does not preclude you from exercise (walking distance as an example). That is just a lame excuse.

@Threepio long covid has affected different people differently so I cant say. It's just upsetting because he has been so nice

Yeah there's a lot of weirdos, trolls, and catfish out there. Fakes, flakes, or those that push for as much as they can get as quickly as possible. Be careful.

Date a guy who has a car and doesn't need to take a bus.
Woah. Date 1. Thats a long walk!

@V00doo it's OK, I added and corrected just in case. We walked Covent Garden to embankment lol
@Mellowgirl I love that walk!

@V00doo it's really nice over there. It would have been better if we met this side of the month as that cold night air was killing him
