Have you ever dated/had sex with someone you werent attracted to? And why?

I ask cause I've heard women say they regret dating ugly guys. But why date someone you're not attracted to?

i’ve tried to date people i’m not attracted to hoping they will become more attractive to me
i’ve dated ugly people who i was attracted to
attraction is a weird little thing but i ever regret any of that
