Why do they do this

I met this girl online, things were going so well, we went on a few dates

she really showed high interest, then all of a sudden she said im a lovely guy and she doesnt want to continue

is it because they got things going on already?

No one knows, maybe she just changed her mind and not necessarily because of you. People have their reasons, whatever it is, if she told you directly, respect it and let her go. She deserves someone she can say yes to - you deserve someone who will say a firm yes to you. Wishing you to meet your real soulmate :)
