I hate to say it but don't date a bipolar person unless you are prepared for a roller coaster😅
I have had to get therapy after getting out of mine because they are unpredictable and fluctuate so fast, it leaves you with relationship trauma after. It doesn't mean they are bad people, that they don't deserve love, or that no one will want them. It just takes the right partner and I feel like most people are not cut out for it. Tie that in with sometimes they will be like completely different people who you don't recognize and do things you would never expect from them. Especially if they don't take medication for their condition eventhough they should be.
I'm constantly waiting for another shift even in my new partner but am pleasantly surprised to find that because he's not bipolar, he doesn't have these weekly shifts. I don't have to question what the next phase will be like or how it will affect the relationship.....
But yet I still will find myself on edge as if something will happen.
