Is it worse to have a lifetime of prescription drug addiction than occasionally do drugs?

I don't do drugs anymore other then have a little wine everyday. But I used to be overly dependent on prescription pills and I was recently in the hospital and weened off. At the same time, if you do drugs occasionally and don't get addicted, then isn't that better then abusing Rx drugs for your whole life? Not thinking of anyone in particular 😆

You cant really do drugs occasionally and not get addicted. Most likely you will get addicted after one time. My sister has schitzophrenia and is on heavy medication which include benzos which she is addicted to. She doesnt do drugs. She will have to will be on that medication for the rest of her life. Tbh id rather her be addicted to her medication than recreational drugs.
