Why didn't the US just place a shitload of troops in the Ukraine, this could have been prevented?

therighttothink50 · 56-60, M
We just had to maintain oil independence and it would have been avoided.

Bold nations get bolder when their main source of GNP is oil and when oil becomes more valuable. If oil goes higher in price and becomes more scarce, these oil rich nations become richer and more powerful.

Russia's lifeblood is oil, they can now afford to flex their muscles without deterrence, mainly because Biden took a big chunk of the oil supply out of production, the US supply.

That one single move has caused Russia to attempt to expand its borders. Trump was extremely hard on Russia with sanctions, and through US energy independence he kept Putin in check.

Biden's one single move of stifling US energy production has put you and everybody in the world in peril.

Oil is used for everything, when it's price rises everybody pays more for products and everything else. The price of oil now is causing massive inflation and Russian imperialism.

Trump's wisdom made the US energy independent and the number one producer of oil in the world. He was a great president, because he put his country first and made the rest of the world safer.

@therighttothink50 You are correct. It's all about the energy. Zero strategic thinking. Just do the opposite of what Trump did no matter how successful those things were. I hope Biden voters enjoy the up and coming gas prices. They should be kicking in some $$ to help us fill our tanks as well.

We aren't the worlds security guards.

@FreeSpirit1 lol I’m sorry but that statement is just so ignorant it’s incredible - most of the Second and First World War was fought by European nations and her non-American allies. America only entered the First World War at the very end and basically contributed nothing. Concerning the Second World War, they entered the European theatre after Great Britain and her colonies spent years holding down the fortress. In fact, in both cases America only bothered entering the war because of a direct attack - the Lusitania and Pearl Harbour - it had nothing to do with protecting others, nor showing any sign of goodwill to other nations. America is large and blessed with two peaceful neighbours, ample natural resources and systematically killed the people who lived on that land first in order to conquer it. Europe meanwhile has had to endure far more throughout history.

@Datawonk You totally missed my point

@FreeSpirit1 I think you gravely misperceive how the US is seen worldwide and attribute the expectation of the US to act as “world police” - we’re all keenly aware the US only acts in its own interest, ever - unless there’s a natural resource to claim or a direct attack on you, you won’t do anything in Ukraine but light sanctions lol

It would've only anticipated what we're seeing, with Russia attacking earlier because "threatened"

It would have been seen as an aggressive move and might have been a reason for Russians who are now *opposed* to this war, and to Putin, to go along with the invasion and their mad leader.

It plays to his narrative of the US being aggressive against Russia.

Because Comrad Biden wanted Ukraine down to destroy evidence against him and hunter. Biden (and his controllers) are more evil than Putin.

it's far enough away they don't need to use troops outside their own sphere of influence
