Why do some people sleep around just to say they slept with X amount of people?!

Basically goes by what they suffered during their teens .. so it's kinda revolt and revenge to someone which could be their parents or family or friends etc. Where they lose their diligence ..

I guess to some its a game and this is how to keep score..
