Have you ever assessed a date based upon their financial status and potential?

Recently a guy assessed me based upon the last holiday I took.
Whether I worked full time or part time.
And whether i had ever moved or stayed in a particular area...

When I clearly failed the test he told me he was too busy for me.

A woman I dated for a while and was into me told me that I need xxx amount in account if I had to ask her hand in marriage. She was like you need a better job which made sense but what hurt me was her constant statement of how the other men she met earned way more than me.

I told her I didn't want her cash as she's rich but it hurt me bad. I'm not poor by choice. I'm poor because my dad chose to screw our lives.

@Beatbox34 Being so specific is not cool. Although, I have always preferred a man who did well or was = to me professionally. That was because I lived a certain lifestyle all my life and it is okay if after marriage if we face a financial backlash but I didn't want to go for someone who was significantly different than me in lifestyle.

@SW-User Tbh she said for that very reason. To be equals. This is why I didn't have a lot to say. Now here's the thing, I work for the government and since you're an indian as well, you'd know that it's not possible to get that high as compared to the private sector.

I told her that I work for the government. She'd be like this guy earns 36 lakhs per year, this guy earns 30 lakhs per year or this guy earns 24 lakhs per year. You're wasting your potential lol. Well she knows exactly what I've been through. Like exactly what I'm dealing with at this very moment as well. That wasn't something I could digest. At one point, she did mention about my replacement lol and I gladly told her to go for it.

I know money makes sense. I'm not that dead when it comes to money. Yes I have financial problems but I'm not as financially sound as her. I can get by and still enjoy my life. I wish she'd understand that. Sadly she didn't and left.
