How to maintain patience when possibly being catfished?

Talking to this wonderful guy who writes things like my ex, then he is kind of putting off an audio chat. I think its him. I hate having to wait days and he probably is not gonna be into audio chat.

I've been Catfished. But before we met we had great conversations over the phone.
The photos she sent were 25 years old. We were about the same age but when I knocked on her door with flowers she answered the door.
At first glance I thought it was her mother or grandmother but then I heard her voice and I knew it was her.
There were 2 dates and she turned out to be a real nutcase. I thought I was being patient by doing a 2nd date but her mental state of mind was scary.
Oh well, live and learn.
