How does one tell when he or she is 'ready' to date?

It’s like when you can take care of a dog

It is more hassle than it is worth.

People want a relationship or dating but picture the ideal version of it.
The reality is that it is nothing but BS.

After being cheated on, I am still struggling with that. The pandemic gives me too many excuses.
