Why do some tall girls/women get jealous when they see tall man/short woman couples?

I mean everyone has the right to date whoever they want right? Everyone’s allowed to have preferences so you can’t get mad if someone has a different preference than you.
My boyfriend is 6’5” and I’m 5’3. I’ve gotten a couple of stairs from some tall women. What’s their problem? They can date tall guys too but I refuse to give short guys a chance. They should really give short guys a chance. I’ve dated short guys and guys my height and it doesn’t matter to me.
