What did these two ladies mean?

I overheard a conversation at work and the two ladies were saying: the one lady was bitching because her just turned twenty something son is dating a woman in her late thirties.

And the other lady laughs and says “she thinks she can train him like the men used to do the women. You can’t train a man.”

What did she mean by “she can train him like the men used to do the women?”

🤔

i think she meant that the girl wants to have power in the relationship, but idk that's weird and stereotyped because they're both two adults living in the 21st century, so they should know how to live a happy and healthy relationship. the two ladies were just saying this girl wants to take advantage of him
Back then, cultures typically had women as quiet and non-hostile and non-argumentative. If a woman sassed a man, he'd pimp slap the sheesh outta her to put her in her place (using his physical advantage). This is what the purpose of a pimp slap is :v

Probably molding him to suit her tastes? 🤔

Sounds like she has some presumptuous views but I guess she means the older partner can shape the younger partner's habits and tastes to better suit the elder

@plungesponge 🤔 did that “used” to happen? I am only 24

I think it's always happened between older and younger and it's not a gender thing.

The older person is seen as more worldly and experienced

most women preferred older men because of there experience to be there first lovers then went back to younger men some times most girls matured faster than boys did.
