Ticketed for Not Wearing a Mask

A few people in my town have been ticketed for not wearing masks. I know for a fact (I was with the city department, and most of my family are officers, too), this is not being enforced. The ticket for this violation is often used just to spite certain people, and usually when other charges are unlikely to stick. Those people who were ticketed are the usual suspects, in and out of jail for various drug-related offenses or skipping out on a court date, that kind of stuff. It's never the people who own a business, the lawyers on First Avenue, the people with a well-known and respected last name. It's always the less desirables. This mandate has been nothing more than another opportunity for the police to harass certain people.
