Is it racist to raise your children to not date a certain race?

Yes, it is.The fact that the prohibition is based upon their race would be a hint. The reason (perhaps the person wants their children to carry on their culture and ethnicity) might be a logical reason for requesting that they not date others, but it is still a race-based restriction.
@bijouxbroussard I had a friend that was Japanese when I was a younger girl. I totally wanted to be more than friends and we were very close. She told me that her parents wanted her to be with a Japanese boy. To be fair, I’m sure she wasn’t gay, so I had no chance... either way, but I was gutted because my what if, fantasy was gone. Did I think it was wrong? Immoral? Yes. Of course, but I’m not sure I would have called it racist, though. Maybe I’m just parsing words but they liked me just fine... treated me well, and had me over many times... but she was supposed date another Japanese boy. 🖤
@DarkHeaven There are many cultures like that, especially people who come from homogeneous lineages, people who can trace their roots back to one ethnicity/culture, one religion, one language. They don’t want to lose that. So while it is racist, strictly speaking, it’s racist with an *.
It’s different from someone whose family just doesn’t want them to date certain groups but aren’t concerned about them dating outside of their race otherwise.
@bijouxbroussard That’s why I love you. You totally get me, my friend. 🖤🤗
@bijouxbroussard Happy pride month. 🖤🤗🌈

And kiss lots of boys (yeah)
Or kiss lots of girls
If that's something you're into…”
