Perhaps, it is because the ones that you have observed have been surrounded only by vacuous ninnies who spend all their time twiddling with their hair and eyebrows, smothering themselves in cheap, Chinese shop perfume and store-bought clothing by the kilo. My own observance has seen men demonstrate great courtesy and a preference for long courtships rather than scour the plethora of skanky goldiggers who often seem to surround them.
