I have a date tomorrow night but my friends told me not to go out with him. What do I do?

I'm at one of the guys (lets call him Harry) at college and my guy friend (lets call him Jace) was horrified about the news. Jace was like, "Why are you going out with Harry? He is an immature, man child that only wants to use you to get though this shitty world. I know him so I know." Damn that was harsh. I told him, "Damn Jace that was harsh." Then he said, "He just wants to use you so YOU can take care of him because YOU have a job and he is a lowlife moochers. Don't go out with him Layla!" I told him he is trying to stop me from going out and walked away.

My best friend said, "I don't know Harry personally but I would listen to Jace if I were you." You always go after guys that have no substances. Truth is you're afraid of a REAL relationships. Stan (my childhood friend) really likes you for who you truly are but you keep pushing him to meet other ladies when he clearly likes you!"

It sounds like Jace probably knows him fairly well if he'd go into that much detail.

So it honestly depends if you want the high risk of drama of having to put up with a moocher who wants to use you till you dump him or not.

It's not like it's necessarily a hard thing to find a potential date.
