Favorite Dwarf Fortress mod? Or one you'd like to see exist?
My favorite currently would have to be Masterwork, the creators put a lot of work into it, even if it's a bit unstable; the races feel like they have completely different playstyles and it brings a lot of new mechanics to the game- even if not really much new in terms of monsters and the like.
2nd top would be either the Elder Scrolls one which includes all the races, and allows you to even build dwemer bots and the like as the dwemer race- only thing that keeps me from having this be my top favorite is the fact it has no texture packs for it, and is incredibly outdated-
or Rise of The Mushroom Kingdom, which includes all the Mario races, and Donkey Kong races; texture packs, music, and unique mechanics for the races fortresses to thrive with. Last I checked it was upto date and pretty amazing- only issue I have with it being that it's a Mario mod, but they still did an amazing job and I especially kind of like the shy guys mechanic of using the subspace stuff (Subspace is that weird dark world from Super Mario Bros 2 by the way).
Personally I'd like to see a full on Legend of Zelda mod with custom music, textures, and all the creatures and races and compatible with the latest version of Dwarf Fortress. Infact it'd probably be easy enough to make really.
