Men on dating sites 150+ miles away

Why do they go and hit a like button when they live 150 miles or more away? it says in my profile a preferred range of 50 miles or less. Many of men living hours away fro me come like my profile. How is that expected to work?

Probably cuz their not finding any women closer then that and expanding their range?

I've never used online dating apps thank God but I'm seeing a trend big time where guys just can't find woman these days or they just giving up.in general
