Why do I match with so man guys from Turkey

On Tinder there’s this thing where, if you get the paid version, you can see and swipe on profiles from anywhere in the world, and have your profile appear in that location. So even if you use the free version (which I do), you’ll sometimes come across profiles of people from other countries, the complete other side of the world even.

So I’m sometimes matching with guys elsewhere in the world (I have my search set to just guys atm, bi but in a more hetero phase rn lol). One thing I’ve noticed though, is that the vast majority of my foreign matches are from Turkey. Like at least 70% of them.
I’m not sure if my location is just a popular location for Turks to wanna check out, I’m not sure if Turks happen to find me more attractive than the general international population does (granted of the foreign profiles I come across I do swipe right on a lot of Turks but they’re definitely less than 50% of the foreigners I swipe right on), idk. I’m guessing it’s at least in part due to being in the Greater Los Angeles Area (I’m in Ventura County) but that doesn’t explain why it leans so heavily Turkish lol


Btw if anyone’s confused, swiping right (on someone’s profile) means you like them. Swiping left means you don’t like them. If both of you swipe right on each other, you guys will match.
