tell me, are dating sites waste of time now

ive lived alone 19 years, i deal with mental health problems....lost touch with any friends i had in the past....my only support is my mother and father who are elderly....i was told recently why don't i try dating sites online?..............but when ive had a glimpse of them in recent times, they're full of fake profiles, scams, spamming, and AI.............dating sites are nothing like they used to be.....so i think that idea is out the window.
