Different but complementary, I think.
When she bonds with a guy, she trusts him. This means she trusts him to protect, provide, and cherish her.
When a man bonds with a woman he chooses to include her as exclusive partner in his life. It may take longer for him to feel this level of trust.
But by being with him, she inherently begins to be protected and provided for, even before he grants her full partner status.
