Chiara and her ballet class
My daughter has ballet rehearsals tonight and tomorrow night for the performances on the weekend so I’m going to cook something light so she doesn’t have to eat late night.
The ballet mistress is cognisant of the ages of some of her dancers and Chiara in age group twelve is not expected to be dancing after eight o’clock tonight, the rehearsals are split over two evenings to that purpose.
It’s still thirty five Celsius in Rome and she was happy to just wear a leotard to dance in when she went to classes this morning. She has four classes including pointe class and partnering (though there are not many boys in the younger groups) and she doesn’t change her leotard during the day, and she’s happy with her friends and competitors chatting and stretching and sipping her water.
I will collect her at eight thirty this evening.
