Driving to the school to collect the girls

Chiara texts me during the day just to keep me updated on whether she is ok. She has experienced a few incidents of bullying from two girls, older than her, and we have told the staff about her being victimised. They are supposed to be doing something about it, checking in on the girls who are doing it to make sure they are safe since they are behaving out of character. Chiara isn’t the only first year student that they are picking on.

After school Chiara has a ballet class with the small school that she has been dancing with. She is one of only a few girls of eleven doing pointe classes. So I have her ballet clothes bag in the car trunk and she will get changed to be able to go to class. I will remain, with a small bottle of water the hour of the class. We will then go home and cook together.

Often times she leaves the class having slipped on sneakers instead of pointe shoes, and jumps into the car for the drive home. She will then go to have a shower once we are home again, and she is likely to remain naked because she will be warm enough with our underfloor heating. Only, tonight she might want to redress since her grandparents are joining us for our evening meal. Papa will update us on how the farm is after the recent deluge-storm damage in Sicily.
